IT And Management Cell

It Management Cell’s core focus in an all-round development of students through a complete package of both knowledge and self development. With a mission to empower our students with the wisdom of applied knowledge and help them reach the pinnacle of success in their desired field, we have started implementing market need based training to bridge the gap between industry requirement and traditional education.


The training programmes are segregated into two major categories:

Category 1 : (Strictly restricted to K.C. Das Commerce College students)


Mass Computer Literacy Programme (Building the foundation):


The program is specially designed for H.S. and T.D.C first year students of the college.

Individual Development Program (For TDC final year students):


This unique program is specially designed for the T.D.C final students to groom their personality by improving their self confidence and place them in to the world of opportunity in right way


The course starts with a psychological test followed by:

1 Communication skill
2 Soft skill training
3 Group discussion
4 Resume writing
5 Mock interview
6 Entrepreneurship Development Session

The value added facility to the students:


The students under this program can avail one year free internet surfing in IT- Management cell for purely educational or career development purpose.


Students for this sector can submit their bio-data to the IT-Management Cell for placement assistance.


One year professional course in IT & Management :


Students who are acquiring 3rd division marks in H.S.L.C examination have to face a real challenge to acquire quality education and also often lose their way towards a brighter future, will have opportunity to train themselves for their parallel to their regular H.S curriculum.


The proposed course structure:


I. Mandatory Modules :

3 Spoken English Self Development Program
4 Yoga

II. Optional Modules :

1 Hardware, Networking Component level repairing
2 Call Centre Training
3 DTP Web Designing & Advance Computer Graphics
Category 2:(Open to all aspiring students):
With a vision to provide a common platform of knowledge and opportunity to all the aspiring individuals, the IT-Management Cell has aimed to extend its facilities to the entire student community of the North Eastern region in particular by providing them high-end quality education in the field of IT-Management to enhance individual’s proficiency in their chosen field.

For achievement its desired goal the college already got associated with C-DAC’s ACTS (Advance Computing Training School) division for training and national level certification. Many other global players have also joined Hands with K.C. Das Commerce College in its mission.

Book Bank 
The Book Bank lends text books for the full academic year to the needy and deserving students. The Book Bank facility will be made available to students of each batch on economic criteria.
Information and Career Guidance Cell (ICGC)
The information and Career Guidance Cell of the college started functioning from 16th of August, 2002.The objectives of the Cell are the following 
Provide information to the students about the different academic & vocational courses that can be pursued by them.
To provide the students information about various career options.
Counselling of students.
Encourage entrepreneurship and self-employment.
The ICGC comprises of the Principal as the chairman, a faculty member as the Convenor, Five Member from the faculty and the Vice President and General Secretary from the students union.

Presently the Career Guidance Cell consist of following members:-

Railway/Airlines concessions
Students are entitled to Student Travel Concession on their way home from the institutions and back during the vacation only. Air travel concession is also allowed.
Students' Welfare Fund 
On application to the Principal an amount not exceeding the annual tuitions fees is granted to the needy students, whose father's/guardians' annual income does not exceed Rs.3600/-p.a. (Rupees three thousand and six hundred only).
Student's Relief Fund
There is a student's relief fund for those student's who will be affected by natural calamities like earthquake, flood etc. to reimburse the expense related to studies.
Financial Assistance
Student's who participate in various competitions in State, National or International level will get full assistance and financial aid from the college.
Dr. Prafulla Chaudhury Award funded by Dr. Prafulla Chaudhury, son of Late Keshab Chandra Das is presented to the Best Graduate of the College.

Sarat Chandra Das Award funded by the family of Late Sarat Chandra Das, son of Late Keshab Chandra Das is presented to the Best Higher Schondary Scholar of the college.

Both of the awards carry a cash award of Rs. 5000/- each. A minimum of 60% marks has to be obtained in order to qualify for these awards.
Placement Cell
The College also has a Placement Cell which caters to the placement of outgoing students through various activities like organising campus interviews etc.
Health Centre
The Health Centre of the College renders free medical service through a medical practitioner to the staff & students of the college and people of the vicinity on every wednesday between 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Other Facilities
1 Common Rooms are available for boys and girls separately.
2 Photocopy facility is available for the students in the library.
The college canteen is spacious well-lit and hygenic. Basic meals, snacks, tea, coffee and cold drinks is available during college hours at minimum prices.

4 A number of water coolers are installed in the college premises for refreshingly cool and purified drinking water.
5 The college has sports facilities both for indoor and outdoor games.
The college conference hall bears high-tech equipments like overhead projector and high quality audio system.

7 There is parking space for cars and two-wheelers.
8 Microphone facilities are provided in the Classrooms.
9 There is overhead slide-projector for teaching.
10 The college Recreation Hall is kept open for the students during college hours.
11 A one rupee Payphone facility is available in the college.
12 The college has a Gymnasium Hall for the benefit of the students.
13 Internet facility is available for both the students and staff.
